A person may start playing video games just a relaxation or an escape from their everyday world. Over time, however, the play of the game can easily turn into an obsession. Depending on the type of games you like to play can help determine what your fixation may be. Perhaps the most addicting game of all time is The Worlds Hardest Game.

If you have played flash games on the Internet before, then you have likely heard of or played The Worlds Hardest Game. Known the world over, this simplistic-looking game can quickly turn into one that you crave to play for hours on end. While it looks deceptively easy, it is difficult, frustrating and people cannot stop playing it.

The game begins in a simple manner and has very basic rules. Your objective is to get the red square from one side of the maze to the other. You use the arrows on the keyboard to control the movement of the square. Sounds pretty easy to do, right?

There are a few complications along the way designed to frustrate your efforts. There are a series of blue circles contained in the maze. These circles move in a different pattern for each level you reach. You need to avoid the circles to get to the other side. If you touch one, you are dead and have to start over.

To add some more to the game, there are gold coins in each maze that you must collect before the maze can be considered complete. As you progress through the game, the coins are located closer and closer to the blue circles to make things even harder.

Adding to the frustration of the game and to the addiction of the game are the messages that appear before you start each new stage. While some of the messages may contain tips to try and guide you, most of the messages are really just designed to taunt you and ridicule you. While these statements might make some quit, they often add more to the addiction as the user wants to prove the messages wrong.

You can easily find yourself fanatically playing this game for hours or even days on end. People can get so wrapped up and determined to try and succeed at each stage that they do not even realize how long they have been at the game. You may find yourself forgetting about meals, phone calls, television shows and more as you become hooked on this adventure.
